NxtTek™ Clamp Meter Package
The NxtTek™ Clamp Meter Package combines a 1000 Amp Digital multimeter with a NxtTek Power Lead (included) that acts as a short customized extension cord between your 120-volt load (appliance) and the outlet.
By squeezing the trigger which opens the amperage measuring clamp, allow one conductor of the NxtTek Power Lead to run through the clamp opening (there is no actual contact required!), let go of the trigger, dial in the AC Current 200 Amp setting ("ACA 200") and the LCD readout will indicate how much Current (how many Amps) you are drawing.
NOTES:
- If you want to know how much Power you are drawing instead (Watts) simply multiply the Current reading (Amps) times 120 (Volts).

Clamp meters can not measure current clamped around an ordinary power cord, which is why this NxtTek exclusive makes it so convenient to explore just how much power your TV, appliances, wall warts (all those black transformers plugged in around your home or business), etc. may be drawing even though you've "turned them off".
